Xiangyun Temple Joins Hands in the "Once Upon A Time" Charity Gala

On February 26, Venerable Jueji, Abbot of Xiangyun Temple, together with devotee Hai Pei, attended the annual charity gala "Once Upon A Time" at the invitation of the Hanger Foundation. The event was hosted by the nonprofit organization Gala Education Connection and brought together community leaders and supporters to advance the mission of improving children's literacy in Central Texas.

Each year, Education Connection raises funds through its annual gala to support reading education initiatives, with a focus on ensuring that every child attains strong reading skills by the end of third grade—laying a critical foundation for future learning and personal development. The organization also recruits and trains volunteer "Reading Partners," who provide weekly one-on-one reading support for students, helping them build reading skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Xiangyun Temple's participation in this charitable event reflects its deep commitment to children's education and public service, while also fostering meaningful collaboration with local community organizations. Through such engagement, the temple contributes warmth and positive energy toward supporting the growth, education, and well-being of the next generation.
