Austin Buddha's Light International Association President and Board Transition Successfully Completed
Carrying Forward the Legacy, Creating a New Chapter Together

On the morning of December 20, 2024, during the Saturday English Dharma Service, the Austin Buddha's Light International Association (BLIA) solemnly held the 2026–2028 President and Board of Directors Installation and Handover Ceremony. In an atmosphere that was both dignified and warm, the outgoing and incoming boards completed the transition smoothly, symbolizing an important milestone in the BLA's tradition of continuity and renewal.
The ceremony was emceed by Brother Shaobo Qiu and proceeded with the formal handover of the president and board members. Newly appointed and continuing directors were introduced one by one and received the blessings and applause of the assembly. The ceremony reflected the spirit of unity and harmony that defines the Buddha's Light Association.
This was followed by the introduction of the newly appointed presidents and leaders of each subchapter, including President Rui Chen of the Chinese Chapter, President Jace of the English Chapter, Youth Group I Leader Ezra Mitsak, and Youth Group II Leader Haylee Wu. Members of each chapter joined together on stage to offer their greetings, showcasing a team marked by intergenerational collaboration and multicultural inclusivity. This moment highlighted the BLA's vitality, community engagement, and forward-looking vision.
The ceremony concluded with the Xiang Yun Choir performing several Christmas songs, adding a joyful and peaceful festive atmosphere to the event. Following the successful completion of the ceremony, attendees shared a communal lunch, exchanging Dharma joy and fellowship while reaffirming their shared aspiration to continue promoting Humanistic Buddhism and serving society.
