The Austin Chapter of the International Buddha's Light Association held its 2025 Annual Membership Meeting and election on December 6, with nearly seventy members in attendance. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The meeting was conducted by bilingual hosts in both Chinese and English. Participants respectfully performed the Threefold Salutation, chanted the Ode to the Triple Gem, and recited the Membership Pledge, reminding everyone to uphold the spirit of Buddha's Light and jointly promote Humanistic Buddhism.

Chapter President Sister Liu Qing reported on the association's accomplishments in 2025. Highlights included the North American Fellowship Conference held in April at the Austin Marriott Hotel, which was successfully completed through the collaborative efforts of volunteers from three Fo Guang Shan temples in Texas. A highlight video was also shown at the meeting. Representatives from the Chinese Division, English Division, and the Second Youth Subgroup presented their annual reports, showcasing their dedication to spreading the Dharma and deepening community engagement. The financial report indicated that the association remains in sound financial condition.

During the meeting, the list of newly appointed and reappointed board members and committee members for the 2026–2028 term was announced. Sister Zhou Li was successfully elected as the new Chapter President and will lead the team in jointly undertaking the mission of Dharma propagation. The assembly also recognized ten Outstanding Volunteers of the Year in appreciation of their long-term dedication and service.

In closing, Venerable Jue-Ji, the chapter's guiding monastic, encouraged everyone to continue supporting the Dharma propagation efforts of the Buddha's Light Association and Xiangyun Temple. The event concluded successfully with a group photo, a vegetarian meal, and a fun raffle.
