Family Blessing and Birthday Celebration

On May 2, 2025, four venerable monastics from Fo Guang Shan Hsiang Yun Temple—Venerables Jue Ji, Yong Jia, and two others—visited the home of lay devotee De-Xue, supported by local Fo Guang member Landry. The monastics compassionately offered a family blessing ceremony, recited the Medicine Buddha Mantra, and delivered heartfelt well-wishes for the household. The atmosphere was solemn yet warm.

The monastics and lay members from Hsiang Yun Temple also brought the complete 85 volumes of the Avatamsaka Sutra, along with a treasured calligraphy piece by Venerable Master Hsing Yun that read, “The path lies ahead, and the light is in sight”, symbolizing the illumination of Buddha’s light and a bright future.

Deeply moved by this meaningful occasion, De-Xue expressed heartfelt gratitude, feeling that the blessing brought spiritual light and joy to the home.

Coinciding with De-Xue’s birthday, several lay devotees from Hsiang Yun Temple also gathered to celebrate. The dinner was filled with laughter and warmth, with everyone singing a birthday song together. De-Xue performed a touching rendition of “Why We Sing”, expressing deep gratitude and joy, and thanking everyone for their presence and blessings.

This gathering was not only a rare opportunity for Dharma connection, but also a joyful and compassionate spiritual celebration, leaving behind warm and touching memories
