Xiang Yun Temple of Austin Attends 25th Anniversary Celebration of Sister Temple

On April 5th, Venerable Jueji, the abbot of Xiang Yun Temple, along with Venerables Yisong and Ruyuan, and several devotees, were invited to attend the 25th anniversary celebration of Lien Hoa Temple in San Antonio. Lien Hoa Temple is a Vietnamese Buddhist monastery, with several of its monastics having studied at Fo Guang Shan Buddhist College, maintaining a deep connection with the Taiwanese Buddhist community.

On the day of the celebration, temples representing various ethnic communities gathered to chant sutras and offer blessings, creating a solemn and lively atmosphere. Representing Xiang Yun Temple, Venerable Jueji recited the Heart Sutra and read the Prayer for World Peace written by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. He also shared the “Three Acts of Goodness” philosophy, wishing for social harmony and world peace.

After the ceremony, the monastics of Lien Hoa Temple personally welcomed the guests, provided a tour of the temple, and warmly engaged in dialogue. Venerable Jueji presented a piece of calligraphy by Venerable Master Hsing Yun titled “Having You Is Such a Blessing,” expressing friendship and best wishes.
