Mobil Visa Service

Mr. Fuwen Luo, director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Hou-ston(TECO), noticed that during the 2020-2021 pandemic there is a growing demand for Taiwanese nationals to apply for various kinds of documents. On Saturday, April 24th, the supervisor, Mr. Renjie He, and vice-consul Zhiwen Ke addressed the issue by offering the Mobile Visa Service at Xiang Yun Temple.

With the coordination of Mr. Ma Muyuan, a consultant of overseas affairs in Austin, and Xiang Yun temple volunteers, the Mobile Service ran three hours longer than originally scheduled, from 10am to 3pm. More than 100 docu-ments were processed, which is record-breaking.

It’s also unprecedented to have three officers at the service processing paper-work. Approximately 50 overseas Taiwanese cards were issued, benefiting over 100 people and providing great convenience to those families.

All visitors put on their face masks and waited in the courtyard. Some took time to worship the Buddha in the main shine. The TECO officers expressed sincere thanks to Venerable Jue Ji for supporting the Mobile Service within short notice and hosting the event at Xiang Yun Temple.
